PPT to EXE Converter is a program that converts PowerPoint presentation files to executable files. Even though its interface is, to say the least, boring, this utility is extremely useful and potentially a so-called “life-saver”.

If you've ever found yourself in a situation when your presentation saved as PPT file is not compatible with the software installed on the computer where it's going to be shown, then you know why this tool can be so important.

Actually, this solution is so elegant and secure that it can be applied to in almost all cases. There are certainly no disadvantage of it, except in cases when you need to modify your presentation. But if that’s not the case, there’s no need to run around with a PPT or PPTX file on your memory stick, being uncertain whether it will work on the computer you’ll use. The EXE file generated by this utility works on any Windows computer, having no software dependencies.

The slides generated in the executable file look the same as the ones found in Microsoft PowerPoint, so do the shortcut keys used to navigate, as well as the right click context menu.

Besides the ability to convert files, this application has some additional features like generating autorun files (for CDs/DVDs), batch conversion of files, assigning an icon to the output file and others.

The trial version of this program is fully functional for 30 days, which is enough to test it out.

Pros

  • Fast conversion
  • Ability to batch convert
  • Output file interface perfectly mimics PowerPoint's interface
  • No detail is lost during the conversion process

Cons

  • Interface looks old / not optimized for user friendliness
